Positions Available

River guide

As a River Guide, you will lead guests on safe, exciting, and professional whitewater rafting trips on the Nenana River. You’ll be responsible for guiding scheduled daily trips across varying difficulty levels, ensuring boats are rigged safely, and delivering a fun, high-quality guest experience in cold, glacial conditions. Your role also includes outfitting every guest with a drysuit and safety gear, checking fit and comfort, and maintaining proper gear care and organization before and after each trip.

HiKING GUIDE

As a Hiking Guide, you will lead guests on scenic, informative, and safe hiking experiences in and around Denali’s front country  Alaska’s wild landscapes. You’ll be responsible for guiding both scheduled daily hikes and private, customized hiking trips. Your role includes interpreting natural and cultural history, ensuring guest safety, and delivering top-tier outdoor experiences in all weather conditions.

Front Office Representative

Our front office representatives must be flexible and enthusiastically ready to answer the same questions over and over. As a front office employee you are the first point of contact guests have with New Wave and you play a vital role in ensuring that guests have a memorable experience rafting from the first phone call to book, to the end of their rafting adventure. Our front office is the first point of contact for our guests, which means you are responsible for greeting guests, answering their questions, and taking bookings throughout the day in person on the phone and via email. Our front office staff also maintains the retail floor ensuring items from t-shirts, ice-cream to chips, books and drinks are all neatly and fully stocked.

New Wave Adventure Drivers must be safety-conscious with a minimum of a  CDL Class B Bus Driver with Air Brakes and Passenger Endorsements to drive our passenger buses. As a Bus Driver, your primary responsibility will be to transport guests safely to and from our rafting tour locations within Denali National Park. This seasonal position runs from May to September, with housing options available.
