Our front office representatives must be flexible and enthusiastically ready to answer the same questions over and over. As a front office employee you are the first point of contact guests have with New Wave and you play a vital role in ensuring that guests have a memorable experience rafting from the first phone call to book, to the end of their rafting adventure. Our front office is the first point of contact for our guests, which means you are responsible for greeting guests, answering their questions, and taking bookings throughout the day in person on the phone and via email. Our front office staff also maintains the retail floor ensuring items from t-shirts, ice-cream to chips, books and drinks are all neatly and fully stocked. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests with an upbeat, friendly and welcoming demeanor

  • Answer phone calls and emails from guests, answering their questions and booking reservations

  • Provide guests with information about the company’s services, including rates, trip details, and many other local questions with a friendly smile

  • Maintain a clean and organized front office space and retail floor, this includes folding and refolding shirts making sure all merchandise is well stocked and neatly displayed

  • Work in collaboration with other staff members to ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience

  • Process purchases from general store and NWA merchandise

  • Ensure that the floor is restocked regularly (this typically is after a check in and before the trip returns)

  • Ensure Schedule is up to date any changes are relayed to Operations Manager and guides are informed of changes as well as drivers if any new pick ups are added. 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other staff members

  • Able to be on your feet for long periods of time

Compensation:

  • Pay Rate: $17 - $20 per hour plus tips, FREE housing and end of season bonus
